Self-Proclaimed

I officially win slacker of the year. I took today off of work so I could write my paper one existentialism and clean the house since Mark is coming this weekend. And instead... I slept. ALL DAY. Yeah. Thus far I've taken care of all of my shoes upstairs and put my clothes away. I also hid X-mas presents. There's a potluck at work tomorrow and I have to cut and peel a bunch of potatoes to make crock pot scalloped potatoes. I've got a load of laundry in the dryer and another in the washer, plus another couple in the basket that will have to wait 'til Saturday or Sunday to be washed. I need to care of the mail that seems to pile up on the kitchen table and the stack of magazines that seem to pile up in front of the couch. And I definitely need to vacuum. I'm supposed to be writing my paper right now, but I've gotta be honest with ya.... I hate existentialism. I hate everything about it. The only thing I've eaten today is a salad that I picked up at Mejier yesterday. I've got some fresh cauliflower steaming on the stove and a couple of chicken sausages w/feta and spinch trying to boil. I'm gonna stick a couple of olive oil rosemary ciabatta rolls in the oven, but I should probably go mess w/the laundry first.

Oh, and yay Obama!

Fizzled

So it's been nearly a year since I've posted. Mark and I had a fantastic relationship that just kinda.... fizzled. We still see each other (very infrequently) and the "I love you"s have all but ceased.

Shortly after New Year's he started to withdraw. He said that saying "I love you" frequently was redundant. And I've sort of stopped loving him. Until I see him, which is so infrequent that most of the time I just don't care about him.

Eventually I'm going to move on. I'll start seeing and sleeping with other people again. I guess the reason I haven't yet is that I'm hoping that the wonderful man I fell in love with last year will return to sweep me off my ft again. Unfortunately, I don't think he exists anymore.

I think, when you're aware that a woman doesn't respect many men other than you, you'd want to maintain that respect. Sadly, I've lost it. And I don't think he's even aware.

Five Year Plan

I think my five year plan is underway.

I told Daddy that my plan for us is to get engaged, live together until we clean up our credit, then get married in Vegas (by an Elvis impersonator!?) and buy a house together.

We sat on the couch last night and he talked about hoping he can sell his house quickly. And maybe turning part of the attic into a home office. We talked a bit more this morn about putting some of our stuff in storage, like our exercise equipment since we can both use the gym at work once we're engaged.

Life is good.

Daddy and I started e-mailing, then talking on the phone about a month or so ago. This is after not seeing each other for over two years. He came to visit last weekend and everything just sort of fell into place. He's driving up to visit me again as I'm typing this.

We're both completely different than we were when we met seven years ago. He's so sweet to me that I think I may need a tooth extraction soon. He use to go days or weeks sometimes w/o contacting me. Now he calls &/or texts several times a day.

We've sort of dropped the Master/slave thing for more of a Daddy/pumpkin-vibe. (Yes, he calls me "pumpkin". How freakin' cute is that, yo?)

I still hate men. But Daddy is not currently included.

Lunchtime

My poor ol' Escort was on her last leg this past weekend. Poor girl. She was a good car, even if she was ridiculously loud.

I used a vacation day on Monday and ended up spending the better part of the day at the car dealership. I bought an '03 Alero. I love it. Quiet, fast & dependable. Yay!

Gee and I both worked some OT today, then went to Mongo for dinner. My fave waitress, Melissa was there. She was crackin' me up. When she asked Gee if she'd ever used a credit card before I thought I was gonna choke. Gee snorted. She (Melissa) is a cute kid.

After dinner we went to TJ Maxx, which is sort of tradition, yo. I was a good girl and didn't buy too much frivilousness. Bought a fuschia Egyptian cotton sheet set, a very nice wooden cutting board and a pair of very cute panties. Gee bought me a cute little set of small blue votive candles.

I'm 'spose to meet some guy on Monday. If things go well we'll run some lunchtime NSA on a regular basis. He's looking for some kink, but his version of kink isn't nearly as kinky as mine. He sounds like fun though so I'll give it a try.

Tom came over on Monday to see my new place. The sex was... mediocre. It's sorta hit or miss w/him. One time it'll be fabulous, the next it's just OK. I miss Mark. He was such a fabulous fuck.

Happy

I spent the weekend movin' stuff into my new place. I totally love it.

I haven't been this happy in a long time.

I went to Tanya's baby shower yesterday. She came to pick me up, due to my weirdness about driving on the expressway. She got a TON of freakin' stuff and has another shower today. Chris was joking that they may not have any room in the nursery for the baby after they put all the stuff from the shower(s) in there.

She also bought me some stuff for my new place. Yay! Thank you, Tanya!

I am sooooo ready to get outta here, yo.
